There are going to be times when those you believed in will let you down. There are sure to be days when respect is met with its nasty counterpart.
You’ll likely have to deal with lies, deception, and “mean girl-type” behavior at a few stops on your timeline. There’s also going to be judgement–a lot of it.
You’re going to want to cry on the subway, in your car, at work, on the phone, on their shoulder.
Hell, a few tears might fall. You might even fall to your knees a time or two.
And if that happens, you’ll be worried and maybe a little embarrassed, but you’ll get back up again.
If you let them see you sweat or cry, so be it.
At some point, you may start to wonder if being a person with honor, one who is honest, one who lives a life that you can be proud of is a waste of time. They will sure try to warn you against it.
Don’t buy into the lie.
Just do your thing as best as you can and know that the universe has a special path for those who don’t lie or cheat or gossip or deceive and that path is a shortcut to a happier, healthier and more successful destination.
Have faith.
