John: “Throwing parties on holidays is idiotic.  That’s like me throwing a b-day party on Christmas.  Who would be there except for all of us who spend Christmas together?”

BDC: “I’d be there.”

John: “Yes, you would.  If you had been born in December, we’d all have to make sure to celebrate your birthday before Christ’s.”
