When one is a certain age, one tends to run after life as though it is a balloon gone AWOL. Last minute plans are the trend du jour, be it what to eat, who to sleep with or what city to move to. As time passes and heart rates slow down, one realizes there is, in fact, something to be said for thinking things through and adhering to the old “quality over quantity” adage.
Contrary to the theories perpetuated by Peter Pan-types, contemplation doesn’t dissolve spontaneity, in fact, like a perfect wine and cheese pairing, it makes the out of the ordinary all the more tasty.
