Top Natural Wrinkle Fighters

Worried about aging?  Start popping these vitamins (with the OK from your doctor)

Vitamin A(take only the recommended amount.  Vitamin A Toxidity can be deadly)

Foods with Vitamin A: Carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, winter squash, collard greens, bell peppers.

Vitamin E  Did you know that putting vitamin E on topically after you come in from the sun can help prevent sun damage?  Placing it on while out in the sun can actually make the damage worse thanks to ulraviolet light causing a reverse effect.

Foods with Vitamin E: Almonds, turnip greens, tomato paste, pine nuts, peanut butter, wheat germ, avacado.   Go easy on these foods as they are high in fat.  Might be best to take a suppliment.

Vitamin C  A kick-booty collegen-booster. Cut a lemon and wipe it on your face every morning to have a  brighter complexion and help to get rid of dark spots (avoid the eyes and don’t do it after exfoliating).  If taking a suppliment for aging, double-up because the recommended dosage is quite low.

Foods with Vitamin C: Papaya, bell peppers/red peppers, broccoli, oranges, lemons, strawberries, boiled cauliflower, kiwi, brussle sprouts.

Omega-3  I am always hounding you guys and dolls to take these because they are so important for so many reasons!

Foods with Omega 3: Salmon, walnuts, tofu, shrimp, halibut, scallops, flaxseeds.

Water: Think of your skin like a sponge.  A dry sponge VS a moist, wet sponge.  Soak your skin by drinking loads of Aqua!

Sunscreen:  I have mentioned it before but Neutrogena 70 is awesome.  I normally get unsightly dark spots in the summer time (thanks to my foolish tanning ways back in the day) but they have stayed away since I started using this product.

Exfoliate!  Some women do fine with baking soda (which helps acne) and others go for super-fancy in-office microderm treatments.  I prefer Oil of Olay’s home kit, followed by their Regenerist cream $60.00 and it lasts about 2 months.    Patricia Wexler’s face products are pretty amazing but I would never pay up for an exfoliant, personally.

Confidence:  Perfect skin means nothing when you don’t feel good about yourself and wrinkles are stunning on the face of a confident man/woman who is comfortable in the skin they are in.
