New research is suggesting a link between OCD and hyper-morality. This got me to thinking about the men and women who have very set rules about what should be done, by whom and when. It gets a little slippery when you start to think about what is considere moral and immoral by each person and group of people. There are some people who believe loving the same gender is morally wrong and others who feel that judging those who fall in love with someone of the same sex is downright evil.
I am of the school-of-thought that things like lying, cheating, stealing , harassing or betraying yourself or others is amoral. Causing intentional harm to yourself or another is corrosive to the soul and society (in my opinion) and that (to me) is a trait of “the darker side”.
I wonder what your thoughts on this are?
Do you feel hyper-morality is a good or bad thing?
Do you feel religion has anything at all to do with morality?
What is moral/immoral to you?
Are you amoral?
